Adrian stepped out into the slick street. He lifted a muscular arm into the air as he attempted to hail a cab. Sienna leaned against the building and took a moment. What had just happened? She was buzzing, her whole body tingling. And she was turned on. Like, insanely turned on. She heard the girl to her right whisper to her friend. “He’s hot,” she said.
“I think they’re together,” the friend whispered back.
Sienna smiled. She liked that. She wanted to claim him.
She pushed off the wall and walked to him. “Why a cab? Why not Uber?”
“Because prices are gonna be insane with the rain and there’s always a ton of cabs around here,” he said.
She shrugged. She had to give it to him, it made sense.
A cab slowed to a stop in front of them and Adrian opened the door for her. She stepped in and shivered. Not from cold, but from nerves.
Before closing the door Adrian looked at her. He leaned down, mischief gleaming in his eyes. His hand grazed across her chest and she sucked in a sharp breath. But he only reached over and grabbed the seat belt, buckling her in. He pulled his hand back, tracing his fingers along her groin as he stood up.
She quivered, losing herself in how much she wanted him at that moment. He shut the door before walking around to the other side. Before she could take a breath, Sienna’s phone vibrated from an incoming message.
Mason 1:33 pm: Where are you?
Sienna 1:33 pm: coming back from lunch.
Mason 1:34 pm: Come straight to the conference room when you get here. We need to speak with you.
What did that mean? she wondered. Panic gripped her stomach for a moment. Was she in trouble? Was she going to get fired?
Adrian slid onto the seat next to her and immediately put his hand on her thigh as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
“We’re going to 11th and 18th,” Adrian said to the cab driver.
“Okay. Get caught in the rain?”
Adrian slid his hand up her thigh while maintaining eye contact with the driver in the rearview mirror. Heat flared between her legs.
“Yeah, she got soaked.”
Sienna stifled a laugh. The joke was over though. She grabbed his hand—she didn’t want the driver to see anything. She pulled on his arm, trying to yank his hand away. Adrian didn’t budge. He kept his face turned forward, and she saw the hint of a smile on his lips.
“How’s your day going?” he asked the cab driver.
Adrian’s hand wandered toward the inside of her thigh, getting close but purposefully not touching her spot. He was teasing her and she knew it. She wanted to tell him to cut it out but she couldn’t without the driver being alerted that something was going on. So instead she bit her lip and looked out the window. She sighed, half out of pleasure and half from frustration. She wanted to jump him almost as much as she wanted to kill him.
“It’s good, the rain helps,” the cab driver said.
“Mhmm,” Adrian said as he unbuttoned her pants and slipped his fingers down her underwear in one swift move. Her eyes flew open in shock. They were two feet away from another human.
She couldn’t believe what was happening. Adrian moved his fingers against her clit and a small groan escaped her lips.
“Fuck,” he whispered. “You can’t do that to me.”
“I’m not the one doing anything,” Sienna whispered back, putting her hand on his wrist more firmly this time to stop his movement. Not that she really wanted him to stop, but what if the driver looked back and saw? They weren’t exactly being sneaky.
“Okay okay, I’ll stop.” He pulled his hand up. Right when it was about to be out of her pants Sienna stopped him.
“I didn’t say to take your hand out,” she said, a devilish smile on her lips. “Just don’t move your arm so much.”
“Oh, shit. I like this side of you,” he said, and his mouth found hers. He moved to her neck, kissing and biting softly and driving her wild. That was her favorite spot. She grinned and nipped at his ear. Ninth avenue whizzed by outside the window and she giggled. They were close. She was about to walk back into the office like she hadn’t just hooked up in the back of a cab and finish the workday.
Oh shit, she thought. The text from Mason. Sienna sat up.
Adrian pulled his hand out of her pants and stuck his fingers in his mouth. “Mmm” he said.
Sienna’s mouth dropped open.
“Right here’s good!” Adrian called before the cab got too close to their building.
They stumbled out of the car and Sienna explained the texts to Adrian as they walked to their office.
“You’ll be fine,” he said, his voice confident. “And if you’re not that means we can leave the office and head to my place.”
“Adrian!” She said with a laugh as they stepped inside.
“In here, Sienna!” Matt called out from the meeting room.
Adrian walked into the kitchen, brushing his hand across her butt as he breezed by. She saw her manager, her manager’s manager, and their CEO sitting in a circle, waiting for her.
She heard Adrian laugh and she glared at him, then stepped in the door.
